Bam Margera alongside his friends is the founder of CKY (Camp Kill Yourself) video series, which eventually happened when he shoots his friends and himself skating and doing deadly stunts. He has also released CKY2K, CKY3, and CKY4. The name CKY is somehow linked with a rock band in which his brother Jess has featured.
Margera came into the eye of Jeff Tremaine, a former big brother editor with his CKY videos and he acquired a role in MTV Jackass. The series did well in the business and as a result, he bagged the role in all four series: Jackass: The Movie, Jackass Number Two, Jackass 3D and Jackass 3.5.
Following the success, Margera was offered his own MTV series titled ‘Viva La Bam’. The television series was on air for five seasons starting from 2003-2005. The series included a special episode like ‘Viva La Spring Break’
In 2007, Margera’s wedding with his then fiancée Melissa Roth which also involved their friends was filmed for MTV series titled ‘Bam’s Unholy Union’. In 2008, Margera appeared in the non-sex role in a pornographic film named The Fantastic Whores 4 which was filmed by Gina Lynn.
Margera has also acted in American 3D comedy film Jackass 3D. The movie was a box office hit. On October 13, 2010, Margera alongside Tim O’Connor appeared on a half-hour Spike TV program titled ‘Bam’s World Domination’. He along with his mother April Margera starred on VH1 Show ‘Family Therapy with Dr. Jenn’.
During 1997, a skateboarder company named ‘Toy Machine Skateboards aided Margera to rise up his career. He was also the member of Element Skateboards from 2001. He has been sponsored by many other companies including ‘Adio Footwear’, ‘Volcom’, ‘Electric Sunglasses’, ‘Speed Metal Bearings’, Destructo Trucks’ and ‘Landspeed Wheels’. Margera is currently retired from professional skateboarding.
Bam Margera has also put his hands on direction and acting. He was the director, co-writer, and actor of his own movie ‘Haggard’. The movie was inspired by the life of his friend Ryan Dunn. He is also the director of ‘Minghags’ and ‘Bam Margera Presents: Where the #$&% IS Santa?
On November 24, 2004, Margera’s weekly radio show called Radio Bam was on air on Sirius channel 28 Fraction. He teamed up with his CKY and Jackass friends for the show. In 2005, he founded a record label focusing on hardcore rock bands named ‘Filthy Note Records’ from which he has directed the videos for various bands including ‘Turbonegro’, ‘Vains of Jenna’, ‘Clutch’ and ‘Viking Skull’.
As per his bio in the wiki, Margera has supposedly announced a documentary film based on his life and the way he overcomes the death of his best friend Ryan Dunn death. Shaken by the death of his friend, Margera Margera turned to use drugs for almost 6 years and the movie has covered this part of his life. However, the film has not yet been released.
Margera is an animated character of Tony Hawk’s video games such as Pro Skaters 3 an4, American Wasteland, Underground and Underground 2, Proving Ground and Project 8. He has also made a guest appearance in ‘Destroying America’ and ‘Grind’. In 2009, he released a book titled ‘Serious as Dog Dirt’ which contains his private writings and pictures.
