Anne-Marie Green was born on the 21st of September on 1971 in Toronto, Canada. As a Toronto native, she attended the University of Toronto and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English (B.A.). She also went to Humber College and graduated with a degree in journalism.
She tied the marital knot with Algernong Allen, a Philadelphia community activist.
Professional Life
Green started her career in journalism from CKVR-TV in Barrie, working as a reporter and moved on to Rogers Cable News in Mississauga, which was also located in Ontario. CITY-TV hired Green in June 2001 as a news anchor in Toronto and was also assigned to host a 24-hour cable news channel, CablePulse 24.
Green moved on to KYW-TV (CBS 3) for the position of general assignment reporter in the October of 2004 and was later partnered with Ben Simoneau to co-anchor Sunday morning newscasts. She started filling in as a substitute anchor for the CBS News Up to the Minute form the October of 2012.
She has also been assigned to anchor CBS Morning News, a CBS early morning news broadcast, from 21st January, 2013.
