Becky Mantin

Becky Mantin celebrates her birthday on the 18th of October and was born in Norwich, Norfolk, England in the United Kingdom in 1980 as the daughter of Richard Mantin and Wendy Mantin.

She spent her childhood growing up with her parents in Saxlingham Nethergate’s south Norfolk village. For her early education, Mantin was sent to study at the Norwich High School for Girls, followed by Norwich School.

The lucky man to share a marital life with Mantin turned out to be none other than Jack Heald, a professional coach for rugby at Walberswick. Heald was formerly a yachtsman. The couple tied the knot in the 12th of December in 2009 and was blessed with their first child, a boy in the October of 2010. Following this, their second child, another son came into this world in the May of 2012.

Mantin began her professional career in journalism from Eastern Daily Press by working as their writer, and along with this, she was also working for Broadland 102, a radio station for commercial purposes.

Mantin kept progressing in her career and later landed a job in ITV Anglia, where she started off by working on Home Malone, a lunchtime show, as the show’s fashion presenter. She slowly shifted her focus towards weather and, after a lot of struggle, ended up as the station’s most reliable weather news presenter.

She had taken a few courses on meteorology before she could obtain this position. She served as a reporter on the show Late Night Checkout, and Animal Tales, a series on animal rescue.

Mantin, at this point, had established herself as one of the best weather presenters in the country and was able to get opportunities to be able to present nationally. So, she also began working on the national broadcasted prestigious channels including Channel 5, Sky, and ITV Weather.

She permanently departed from ITV Anglia in the February of 2005 and moved on to ITV Weather, where she was assigned on the show This Morning Summer as a co-presenter alongside Denise Van Outen. She began freelancing from 2015 with ITV and in the April of 2018, Mantis made appearances on ITV Breakfast on Good Morning Britain in order to present the weather.
