Bria Vinaite

Born on June 10th, 1993 in Lithuania, Bria Vinaite shifted from her home country to Brooklyn, New York in the United States at the young age of 6.

Vinaite had to attend a boarding school because of her disruptive and rebellious attitude as a young teenager. She was fond of tattoos from a young age. Vinaite got her first tattoo at the age of 14.

At the age of 18, she figured that developing her career was more important than attending college and left home.

Shortly after leaving home, Bria Vinaite, at the age of 19, started her own clothing line called Chronical Designs which sold marijuana themed bikinis and baseball caps. She had already made herself known to Instagram users through her self-made weed apparel.  

Initially, Vinaite had not even thought of pursuing acting as a career because she thought that it “seemed impossible to accomplish” and was satisfied from making money in Brooklyn from her weed-themed clothing business on social media (@chronicflowers). But right then, the Tangerine director, Sean Baker sent her a direct message on Instagram offering Vinaite, whom he had thought to be a perfect fit for the role, an audition for his latest project.

Vinaite’s acting debut, The Florida Project, was released in 2017. In the movie, she plays the role of a former stripper and single mother living at a budget motel close to Walt Disney World. She was won 3 nominees for her role. After the movie was a success, Vinaite now plans to continue her path before losing the momentum.

She is quite popular on social media; especially on Instagram, most probably because she started her career in clothing from Instagram. Before her Hollywood stardom, she was focused on selling her marijuana-themed clothing items by advertising them through her Instagram account.

Although she already had a considerable number of followers before the fame, her popularity from her debut movie really boosted her number of followers. Currently, she has 67.9 thousand followers. Unlike her twitter and facebook accounts, she is usually active on her Instagram account.
