Charissa Thompson was born on 4 May 1982 in Seattle, Washington D.C., United States of America. She completed her high school study in Inglemoor High School in Kenmore, Washington. She was the member of the Washington State University.
Later she moved to California and then attended community college which brought her a California residency. Joining University of California in Santa Barbara she got her graduate degree in 2004 in B.A. Law and Society.
Charissa has kept her personal profile very low but it is said that she was married at the age of 25 and has already got divorced with her husband. She was in a relationship with former Duke All-America basketball player boyfriend Jay Williams. There love only lasted few months and then came to an end very soon. She seems to be single now.

Talking about her duties she reports on college football and basketball games for the Big Ten Network and Fox Sports and NFL sideline reporting for Fox. She can also be seen on the Big Ten Network's 'Friday Night Tailgate'. 'The Best Damn Sports Show Period' with Chris Rose and John Salley was her next show she, however, however, the show was canceled in 2009.
From 2002 to 2006 she hosted a lottery show named 'Atlantic City lottery show' and also hosted 'Toughest Cowboy', 'Big Saturday Night', and 'Big Ten's Best'.
