Chris Jansing

Chris Jansing was born o 30th January 1957 in Fairport Harbor, Ohio . She grew up as the youngest of 12 children of Joseph and Tilly Kapostasy.

She attended Otterbein College and graduated with Bachelor of Arts degree in the year 1978.

 In 1982, Chris Jansing got married to Robert Jansing, a chemist and owner of an analytical chemistry laboratory. They got married after being in love for short period of time.

 Unfortunately the couple divorced few years later. However, the she continues to use her ex-husband’s surname “Jansing” professionally.

After completing college, Chris worked as an intern at the cable station in Columbus, Ohio. Later, she got job in WIPS radio station Ticonderoga in New York. After working there for certain time, she went on to serve as a general assignment reporter for the WNYT television based in New York.  She worked for WNYT television for more than one and half decade.

After that, she gave up on the channel and shifted to MSNBC, where she hosted The Today Show. She is currently working as NBC's Senior White House Correspondent.

She won an Emmy Award during her career. Moreover, she also won ‘Best Person’ award from the New York State Broadcasters Association.
