Donna Brazile(age-54) is an American author, academic and political analyst as well as a Vice Chairwoman of Democratic National Committee. She was born on 15th December 1959. She is a native of Kenner, Louisiana.
Brazile's wiki and bio says that she is the daughter of Lionel and Jean Brazile. She is the third children among the nine of her parents. Brazile became interested in politics at a young age after the time when a local candidate for office promised to build a neighborhood playground.
While she was in her high school, Brazile participated in the ‘Trio Upward Bound Program’. She attended the Louisiana State University and graduated in the year 1981 with a Bachelor’s degree in the industrial psychology.

After completing her graduation, Brazile worked for several advocacy groups in the Washington, D.C. As a teenager, she volunteered for Jimmy Carter-Walter Mondale presidential campaigns in the year 1976 and 1980.
Additionally, Brazile has served on several other presidential campaigns for Democratic candidates which include, the Walter Mondale-Geraldine Ferraro in 1984, the Jesse Jackson in 1984, and for the Richard Gephardt in 1988 Democratic primary. In 1988, when Richard lost the primary, Brazile served as the deputy field director of Michael Dukakis general election campaign.
Brazile made the headlines on 20th October of 1999 by telling a group of reporters that George H. W. Bush needed to fess up about the unsubstantiated rumors of an extramarital affair. She served as a Chief of Staff and Press Secretary to the Congressional Delegate, Eleanor Holmes Norton of District of Columbia in 1990s.
There, she helped to guide the District’s budget and the local legislation on Capitol Hill. In 1992, she served Bill Clinton’s campaign as an advisor for the presidency and for re-election in 1996.

It was in the year 1999, Brazile was appointed as a deputy campaign manager and she was later promoted to the campaign manager of the 2000 presidential campaign of Vice President Al Gore. She became the first African-American woman who managed a presidential campaign.

Brazile is also an author. Her book entitled “Cooking With Grease Stirring the Pots in an American Politics” has been the best-selling autobiography.
