Doris Burke

Doris Burke,52, was born as Doris Sable on 24th November 1965 in West Islip, New York. She was raised as the youngest eight children in Manasquan, New Jersey.

She went to Manasquan High School where she played basketball as a point guard. Later, she shifted to Providence College where she was important member of Providence Friars women's basketball team.

Doris got married in the year 1989 to Gregg Burke. The couple got married after dating for several years. After four years of married, she gave birth to her first child. Two years after, she gave birth of another child.

Unfortunately, the couple decided to get separate few years ago. However, actual reason of divorce isn’t shared to media.

 Doris initiated her  broadcasting career  in the year 1990 as an analyst for women's game in radio. This very year she got an opportunity to work as a sports analyst on television for the Big East Women's games.

She has been part of ESPN's coverage of the WNBA, and since 1997 she has been television and radio voice of the New York Liberty. In 2000, she turned out to be a color analyst for the New York Knicks games on radio and TV. In 2003, she was listed as top 10 ESPN Men’s Basketball Team sideline reporter for ESPN and ABC for their coverage of NBA. 

 She has won the USA Today a Rudy Award for the Best New Face in Sports Television. She was also seen as a sideline reporter for the NBA finals for ABC sports since 2009.
