Karin Giannone

South African born British television newsreader was born on 2nd January, 1974 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Currently, she is 44 years old and is very efficient in her work. Her family migrated to United Kingdom when she was only 2 years old.

Karin went to Moira House School for elementary education. This school is an independent school for girls in Eastbourne in Sussex. She graduated from Newnham College, Cambridge, in the year 1995 majoring in Modern Language .

Giannone got married to Neil Rowbotton ; she is living happy married life with her husband and three children. In spite of being White by ethnicity she prefers Indian food. She is fond of street dance. gym, horse-riding, travelling, watching lots of television  and so on. She has good height and has maintained her body figure. 

Karin was editor of the student magazine Varsity magazine at Cambridge that led to work experience at Anglia Television.

In the year 1997, Karin joined the regional ITV station in Norwich as a news trainee, reporting, producing and presenting for local news bulletins.

In 1999, she landed as a reporter and presenter for Channel 4’s Football Italia series, where she covered the Italian Soccer scene for a season, flying between the UK and Italy every week.

Karin used to work for Sky News, before joining BBC News in 2005. She used to cover World News Today for BBC.  Not only this Karin also presented live coverage on the BBC News channel at the trial of Oscar Pistorius in Pretoria, South Africa from 3rd of March 2014. Currently, she is now a regular presenter of World News Today and Impact on BBC World News channel.
