Loraine Kelly was born on 30th November 1959 in Gorbals, Glasgow. Kelly is descendant of an Irish ancestry and her father worked as a television repairman. She spent first few years of her life in her birthplace. Later her family moved to East Kilbride where she attended Claremont High School.
Kelly is married to Stevin Smith since 1992 and they have a daughter, Rosie, born in 1994.

Professional life
Lorraine is very dedicated towards her job and has adorable personality . From 1983 to current time she presenting and working in ITV. Kelly started her career working on the East Kilbride News and then joined BBC Scotland as a researcher in 1983.
In 1984 she worked as an on screen reporter covering Scottish news at "TV-am" Then in 1990 she was appointed as the main presenter of Good Morning Britain with Mike Morris.
In 1993 Lorraine joined GMTV and presented a broad range of programs. She worked her for seventeen years.
In 2010 she presented Daybreak followed by the Tv series This morning. In a TV show Lorraine she worked as a presenter and interviewer. She was also seen narrating the TV show Raa Raa the Noisy Lion in 2011.
