Personal Life
Caruso-Cabrera was born in 1967 in the United States as the daughter of a father of Italian descent and a mother who is a Cuban exile. She grew up as the eldest child in her family in the city where she was born.
Caruso-Cabrera attended the Wellesley College and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 1991. As far as her personal life goes, Caruso-Cabrera has not disclosed any information that might give a clue about her relationship status or the identity of her family members.
Professional Life
Michelle Caruso-Cabrera officially stepped into the world of journalism as a reporter at Univision, where she was later promoted to the position of special projects producer. During her time at Univision, she received an Emmy Award for her brilliant work in the five-part series on children with AIDS.
She moved on to work for WTSP-TV stationed at St. Petersburg, Florida as a reporter and was later hired by CNBC. In 2004, she was awarded with a Broadcaster of the Year award from the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
Caruso-Cabrera began making frequent appearances on Power Lunch in 2009 to support CNBC’s extensive market coverage strategy. She has already partnered with Bill Griffeth to co-host the show back in 2002/2003 after which, Sue Herera replaced her.
In 2009, Caruso-Cabrera moved up to the position of co-presenter of Power Lunch and kept the seat until 2013. Again in January 19, 2016, she rejoined Power Lunch, replacing Amanda Drury, as the co-presenter.
Caruso-Cabrera also worked as the co-host for the show Worldwide Exchange until the 19th of October, 2007.
