Nina Hossain: Birth, Early Life, Education, Family
Nina Hossain celebrates her birthday on the 15th of December and was born in England in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire in 1973 as the daughter of a father, Dr. Tabarek Hossain, native to Bangladesh, and a mother, native to England.
Her father, who is not with us anymore, had migrated from Bangladesh to Britain because of degrading political situations during the ‘60s.
Hossain pursued higher education by attending the University of Durham and graduated from college with a Bachelor’s degree. She went on to study Broadcast Journalism and received a Postgraduate Diploma from the University of Central Lancashire at Preston.
Hossain tied the marital knot with Craig O’Hara, the editor from Sky News but sadly, even eight years of togetherness, their marriage did not last. Currently, Hossain is said to be involved in a love affair with Stuart Thomas, who formerly worked at ITV as the editor of London Tonight.
The couple began dating from 2005 and they have been blessed with three beautiful children.
Nina Hossain: Professional Career
Hossain was always a woman who prioritized career above anything else. She found her passion for journalism in college and began focusing on her career from an early age. She started her journey from ITV Border when she got the opportunity to attend a traineeship on the network’s show Lookaround.
She was assigned to work as a producer, news presenter and reporter on the show and after that, in 2000, she began working at The Medical Channel as a news presenter. Only a year after that, she landed a job at the prestigious news network BBC and was assigned as the reporter for BBC London.
Hossain quickly progressed and was promoted to the position of the main presenter on BBC London News. She has also worked on Hard Spell’s 1st Series.
After a successful and prosperous career at BBC, she moved on to join ITN and began working on ITV Evening News taking the responsibility of the main co-presenter when Mary Nightingale was on a maternity leave. She was assigned as the show’s relief presenter after Nightingale’s return.
GMTV also hired Hossain as their guest presenter in the April of 2010 and Hossain also got the opportunity to work on London Tonight as a presenter in the June of 2010 by replacing Katie Derham.
Hossain is currently works alongside Alastair Stewart as a presenter on ITV Lunchtime News.

Despite the huge social profile that Hossain has in real life, Hossain does not possess any kind of official account on the social networking sites on the internet.
Maybe Hossain prefers to keep her private life only to herself and to those who are really close to her. In case she decides to change her mind, it’s safe to assume that she will be gaining thousands of followers in a short period of time because of the years of dedication she has shown towards journalism.
Although she doesn’t own any social media account herself, her fans have built a Facebook page in her name which has gained 1 thousand likes and followers.
