Back in 2016 in an interview, when asked about the sexual harassment allegations that were hanging by his name, Shaun White cast the questions aside by stating: “I am here to talk about the Olympics, not gossip.” But White has recently apologized about ignoring those questions and using words such as gossip. He provided a statement to the New York Times, saying: “I regret my behavior of many years ago and am sorry that I made anyone – particularly someone I considered a friend – uncomfortable.” When asked if he is worried that this “gossip” might leave a dent on his sports legacy, he simply replied, “I don’t think so.
