Uma Pemmaraju

Pemmaraju was originally born in India in a place called Rajahmundry in India’s Andra Pradesh on 31st March, 1958. After her family shifted and settled down in the United States of America, Pemmaraju spent her childhood in San Antonio, Texas.

For higher education, she attended Trinity University and graduated with a Bachelor in Arts degree in Political Science.Pemmaraju tied the marital knot with Andrew Petkun, a businessman in Salem on September 12th, 1993.

The couple has been blessed with a beautiful daughter, Kirina Alana Devi. Unfortunately, the wedding didn’t work out and they are now separated and divorced. Pemmaraju’s current relationship status is a mystery to the media.

Pemmaraju began her career in television as a producer and reporter for KENS-TV and the San Antonio Express-News both located in her home state – Texas. She was still in college when she took up this job and was fairly overloaded with both college and work assignments. Later, she also agreed to work on her college newspaper as the editor.

Pemmaraju went on to work at KTVT-11 in Dallas as the channel’s news anchor and correspondent, followed by WMAR-TV in Baltimore. During her time at WMAR-TV, she was awarded the Emmy Award.

Pemmaraju has also worked at WLVI and WBZ-TV stationed at Boston as a correspondent and a tipster/producer for WBZ’s Evening Magazine.

In the October of 1996, Pemmaraju joined in as one of the founding members of the original Fox News Channel team when the network has launched. She went on to work as the host on numerous shows and specials. She has also had the opportunity to interview Dalai Lama, Joel Osteen, Carly Simon, the current United States President Donald Trump, Whoopi Goldberg, Sarah Palin, and even astronaut Buzz Aldrin. Pemmarju was named as “Boston’s Best Anchor” in the years 1996 and 1997 by the Boston magazine. She has also been honored with many Emmy Awards for her excellent reporting skills and brilliant investigative abilities.

During her career, the 59-year-old has been awarded with the Texas AP Award for reporting and The Woman of Achievement Award from the Big Sisters Organization of America. She has also received the Matrix Award from Women in Communications.

Pemmaraju might not be available across many social networking platforms but on those that she is available on, she has had a dominating presence.
