Zeinab Badawi,58, was born in 24th November, 1959 in Sudan. Although she was born in Sudan, she got to spend most of her childhood days in London. She holds citizenship of Sudanese as well as British.
Badawi went to Hornsey High School for Girls in North London where studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics in Oxford University at St Hilda’s College. She did her master’s degree in Politics and Anthropology of the Middle East at School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) affiliated to University of London. She graduated in the year 1989 with remarkable score.
Zeinab Badawi got married once but the actual name of her husband is unknown. It is said that she is the mother of four children. These is rumored that she has separated from her husband and is living life as a single women.
Professional life and net worth
Zeinab began her broadcasting career from Yorkshire TV which she joined in the year 1982 as a researcher and broadcast journalist.
In 1988, she switched to Channel 4 News as a co presenter of the show, Channel 4 News. . She worked there for a year and then she joined BBC News. In BBC News she worked at live political programs as a presenter and reporter.
She is the chairman and founder of the Africa Medical Partnership Fund (AfriMed). She has not revealed anything about her net worth or salary, but she is one of the highest paid in the BBC Service.
